Ah, it's that time of year again. The time when the weather starts to get colder, and the night comes about much quicker; that's when you know what's in the air. Halloween. I've recently been doing some thinking about how wrong this holiday really is.

Now, i know there's lots of history behind the holiday of Halloween... but, think about what we've done to it, and what we've all made it into.


Halloween is the one time of year that you can dress up crazily then run around in public with it, and no one will care.

It's the one time when kids can run through people's yards and not have to worry about some guy coming out yelling to 'get off their lawn'.

The one time of the year when you can knock on people's doors and not have to worry about some guy opening it and getting a shotgun to the face. ... well... except at my house, anyway. XD

Halloween is that one special time when parents /freely/ let their kids go out running around the neighborhood to knock on people's doors, regardless of if they're a pedophile or not.


All of these things, i think, just help to show how crazy overdone we've made our holidays. But, hey, free candy. Who really minds?
